Salon Theatre Series
Taking the most intimate, exclusive theatre setting and making it accessible.
The aqet Salon Theatre Series (STS) comprises a series of 3 hour long performances that take place in a house for a small number of individuals; followed by a chaired dialogue. The performances will be promoted and streamed live and viewers will be invited to contribute to the dialogue through comment on the performance.
The series is predicated on three things:
1. The best theatre is moving and thought provoking
2. It is time for a soul searching discussion about the position of people of African descent in Britain
3. The best discussions rarely happen at big conferences but between individuals who care deeply about the subject and are in positions to make a difference.
aqet is seeking partners for all parts of this endeavour – the home, the broadcast/streaming and the resources to commission.

Either through choice or force the people of the African Diaspora have travelled to every part of the globe and have taken the essence of Africa with them. These people are destined to play an important part in the renaissance of the continent. Aqet believe that a shared understanding across the Diaspora is crucial to our development and believe in Africa as a people. The artistic contributions of these ‘scattered seeds’ give us a snapshot of their lives.
The directors of aqet have experience of working across all art forms and are in a position to bring together work of the highest quality.
